Strength and Conditioning facilitates the advancement of physical and physiological capabilities. In other words making an Athlete stronger, faster, more powerful and able to perform to their maximal potential for longer with reduced risk of injury. Strength & Conditioning often includes weight training but this is only one element of a complete approach to fitness. Other components can include sports specific movements, plyometrics, speed, agility, quickness, balance, propreoception, core stability, endurance training and rehabilitation.
Your S&C coach will work in conjunction with your sports specific coach to assess your specific requirements and develop a periodised training programme and recovery protocol that will complement your existing training and competitive schedule, enabling you to peak safely and effectively for competition or important matches.
